Mori Trust Co., Ltd. announced on February 26 that it will open 1 Homes Tokyo, a 36-unit branded serviced residence within the Akasaka Trust Tower at Tokyo World Gate Akasaka in Minato Ward. The project marks the first Asian launch of the residential brand of the U.S.-based sustainable luxury lifestyle hotel group 1 Hotels.

Located on floors 38 through 43 of the 43-story tower, 1 Homes Tokyo shares the building’s upper levels with 1 Hotel Tokyo, integrating long-stay residential living with a full-scale luxury hotel within the same mixed-use structure.

The concept translates the sustainability-driven design ethos of 1 Hotels into a furnished residential format equipped with appliances and kitchen facilities. Natural materials are incorporated throughout the entrance and common areas to create a calm, organic atmosphere despite the tower’s central Tokyo setting.

Mori Trust positions the development as a new urban living option for globally oriented residents who move fluidly between work, leisure, and home in the Akasaka district.

Residents have dedicated internal access to the hotel’s facilities, including a swimming pool, 24-hour fitness center, spa, restaurants, and in-room dining services with some services subject to additional fees.

A dedicated concierge team assigned exclusively to the serviced residence coordinates with hotel staff to provide 24-hour support.

Units will range from 60 to 93 square meters and are offered in three layouts: studio (1R), one-bedroom (1LDK), and two-bedroom (2LDK). Move-ins are scheduled to begin in March 2026, with lease terms starting from one month.

The broader Tokyo World Gate Akasaka project is part of a nationally designated strategic urban development zone aimed at strengthening the international competitiveness of the Toranomon–Akasaka area. Akasaka Trust Tower rises 43 stories above ground and three below, incorporating offices, retail, cultural facilities, and hospitality use.

The broader Tokyo World Gate Akasaka project was delivered in two main phases, with the first phase completed in August 2024 and the second completed in October 2025. The March 2026 opening of 1 Homes Tokyo and 1 Hotel Tokyo follows final completion and opening.
