Mitsui Fudosan Residential unveiled its latest senior residence, Park Wellstate Shonan Fujisawa SST, on September 12, ahead of its October 1 opening in Fujisawa City, Kanagawa Prefecture.
Part of a Growing Senior Living Trend
This marks the sixth installation of the company’s senior service residence brand Park Wellstate and the first in Kanagawa Prefecture.

Located within the Sustainable Smart Town Fujisawa SST, which stands for Sustainable Smart Town. Developed on a former Panasonic factory site, the residence is part of an initiative to meet the area's generational needs.

Originally planned as a condominium, the development pivoted to a senior residence to better serve the community.
Shonan Lifestyle Integrated into Design
The Park Wellstate Shonan Fujisawa SST residence spans approximately 18,500 square meters, featuring a 14- and 13-story residential tower and a 3-story common area building.
The total floor area measures about 45,000 square meters, with construction handled by Haseko Corporation, which completed this past June.

The facility weaves the natural beauty of the Shonan area into its design, with lush greenery, including palm trees, evoking the coastal charm of the region.
Focus on Wellness and Community
Amenities include a large communal bath, piano room, karaoke room, library, and fitness club, all designed to enhance residents' well-being.

In collaboration with a social welfare corporation and an on-site clinic, the facility also provides comprehensive healthcare support.

The residence offers 490 general residential units, designed for two occupants, along with 76 care units for single residents.

All units are equipped with emergency call buttons, wheelchair-accessible features, and monitoring systems for resident safety.
Strong Interest Ahead of Opening
Admission fees for a 54-square-meter 2LDK unit vary by age: ¥57.3 million for a 75-year-old couple, and ¥43.2 million for an 82-year-old couple.
Monthly fees, including common charges and meals, total ¥297,500. Note these are not sale prices but rent fees.
Since its website launch in April 2023, the residence has garnered 5,000 inquiries, with half of the units already reserved.
