GLAMDAY Style Hotel and Resort Kyu Karuizawa opens as first hotel condo in Karuizawa

On August 27th, K-Express, a group company of the Kato Pleasure Group, announced the grand opening of GLAMDAY Style Hotel and Resort Kyu Karuizawa, a newly built hotel condominium in Karuizawa, Nagano Prefecture. The property offers 65 guest rooms.

The project was jointly developed by Tokyu Land Corporation, Sankei Building, and Mitsubishi Estate Residence.
The project marks the first newly constructed, strata-title hotel condominium to be introduced in Karuizawa area. The property is located 14 kilometers from the Usui-Karuizawa Interchange on the Joshin-etsu Expressway and a 26-minute walk from JR Hokuriku Shinkansen’s Karuizawa Station. The structure rises three stories above ground with one basement level.

All guest rooms are designed as luxury suites with a minimum size of 50 square meters and feature private indoor balconies. Rooms on the Kyu-Karuizawa Ginza side overlook the historic townscape, while those facing Shaw Street offer a tranquil atmosphere under the trees. Upper floors also provide views of Mount Asama.

Facilities include a large communal bath with a sauna, using natural hot spring water sourced from Oku-Karuizawa’s Okuwa Onsen, as well as the second location of TRATTORIA CREATTA, an Italian restaurant originally based in Tokyo’s Otemachi district.
Room types range from the Luxury Twin Room (36 units, 72 square meters) to the Premier Corner Suite (6 units, 92 square meters) and the Superior Twin Room (9 units, 51 square meters), among six total layouts.
Rates start at ¥60,000 and go up to ¥159,000 per night for two guests with breakfast included.
