In late April, Tokyu Real Estate, Sankei Building, and Mitsubishi Jisho Residence announced the commencement of sales for the Glamday Style Hotel & Resort Kyu-Karuizawa development.
A first for the Karuizawa area, this project will introduce the concept of hotel condominiums tailored for individual, strata-title ownership.

Floor plans are set to range from between 51.84 to 118.17 square meters, all in a 1-bedroom layout configuration. The building will house 65 units in total.
According to the press release, owners will be able to enjoy the best of both worlds: the comfort of a vacation home combined with access to premium hotel services.

The option to rent out units as hotel rooms when not in use is featured as a solution to manage maintenance costs and homeowners' association costs.
The building footprint will span roughly 4,149 square meters, with three above-ground floors and one basement level, with a total floor area of approximately 7,850 square meters.

The design will include a restaurant terrace facing Old Karuizawa Ginza Street, strategically positioned to immerse guests in the town's natural beauty.

Landscaping efforts will prioritize the preservation of existing trees while introducing indigenous plant species, aiming to create a harmonious blend with Karuizawa's scenic surroundings.

First phase sales are set to begin late June of 2024 with construction scheduled to finish by summer of 2025. Prices have not been released as of this writing.
