Fairmont makes Japan debut with new hotel in Tokyo Shibaura district

Fairmont Hotels & Resorts will make its Japan debut on July 1st with the opening of Fairmont Tokyo; a luxury hotel housed within TOWER S of the BLUE FRONT SHIBAURA redevelopment project in Tokyo’s Minato Ward.

Located on the 1st, 4th, and 35th to 43rd floors of the tower, the hotel will offer 217 guest rooms, including 29 suites. Guest rooms occupy floors 36 through 42, with layouts starting at 52 square meters.

Among the top-tier suites are the 278-square-meter Presidential Suite and the 222-square-meter Shibaura Suite, both situated on the 42nd floor.
Guests staying in rooms on the 41st and 42nd floors, including suite guests, will also have access to the exclusive Fairmont Gold Lounge on the 42nd floor.
All guest rooms come equipped with premium amenities such as Le Labo bath products, Dyson hair dryers, and Bluetooth speakers by Marshall or Sony.
Expansive Event and Dining Facilities
The 4th floor is dedicated to banquet facilities, including one of the largest hotel ballrooms in central Tokyo - the Fairmont Grand Ballroom, which spans 1,000 square meters.
The hotel also features five banquet spaces of various sizes. On the 43rd floor, guests will find THE SEA, a ballroom with an open kitchen situated next to the hotel’s SKY Chapel, while the 1st floor offers a comfortable wedding salon for consultations.
Amenities and Lifestyle Offerings
Guests can enjoy a wide range of facilities, including two pools (indoor and outdoor), a 24-hour fitness center, and five restaurants offering teppanyaki, sushi, Mediterranean, and Southern Californian cuisine.

The hotel also features two bars: Yoi to Yoi, inspired by Japanese standing bars, and OFF RECORD, a venue focused on curated music experiences.
Sanae Fujikawa, Director of Marketing for Fairmont Tokyo, stated, “We’ve received strong interest both domestically and internationally. Bookings for accommodations, weddings, and dining have all been progressing smoothly.”
