The Bank of Japan and the yen are on their own says David Roche of Independant Strategy

On May 14th, David Roche, president and global strategist of Independent Strategy, a London based research and analysis firm, discussed on CNBC’s Squawk Box recent moves by the Yen and what the outlook is moving ahead in his view.

A week earlier, Richard Kaye, portfolio manager for Japan equities at Comgest separately told CNBC’s Street Signs on May 7th that the yen could strengthen eventually back to its multi-decade average against the USD.

The only thing for certain is no one can say how long the yen will stay at current levels nor how much lower it can go.

That said, as more time goes by, what it will take for a correction back to historical averages is becoming clearer as both David and Richard outline.
