Osaka developer to build first ever Minami Azabu high rise tower residence

Kanden Realty & Development announced on July 10th the launch of its new condominium project, Cielia Tower Minami-Azabu, in Minato Ward, Tokyo.

This development, comprising 121 units, represents the first high-rise condominium under the company's Cielia brand in the Greater Tokyo Area.

Located a 9-minute walk from Tokyo Metro's Shirokane-Takanawa Station, the project site covers 2,467.70 square meters.

The 27-story reinforced concrete building will incorporate vibration control technology and span a total floor area of 15,642.24 square meters.

The units will range from 1LDK to 3LDK, with private areas between 42.94 and 174.19 square meters.

Despite the site being in a district with a 40-meter height restriction, the Minato City mayor approved an extension of the height limit to 94.7 meters.

This decision was based on the project's contributions to enhancing the local community, including the creation of public spaces such as sidewalks, pathways, open plazas, and a regional disaster prevention warehouse.

Consequently, Cielia Tower Minami-Azabu will be the first high-rise condominium in the Minami-Azabu area.

The project is designed with a strong emphasis on sustainability, aiming to be a “practically CO2-free" high-rise condominium.

The Kanden Group will supply zero-carbon electricity, sourced from renewable energy through non-fossil fuel certificates, via a high-voltage bulk power supply system.

This will ensure that the entire condominium operates with virtually zero CO2 emissions. Additionally, the building will be fully electric, further reducing CO2 emissions during daily operations.

This approach makes it the first zero-carbon, fully electric high-rise condominium in the Tokyo metropolitan area. The project has also obtained ZEH-M Oriented certification.

To enhance resilience, the development will include emergency generators, vibration control structures, and a disaster prevention warehouse for local residents. The project also prioritizes biodiversity conservation.

Amenities will include concierge services and an exclusive upper lounge for residents. For the first time in the Cielia series, the project will adopt a skeleton-infill system, allowing easy modification of unit layouts to accommodate changes in family composition and lifestyle.
