On November 12th, Wealth Management announced that construction has begun on a new hotel project in Hakuba’s Echo Land district, selecting “Cassia Hakuba” as the working brand name.

The development is being carried out with Banyan Group, an international hospitality company. A ground-breaking ceremony took place on October 1, and the opening is scheduled for 2028.

The site is located in one of Hakuba’s main villa areas with access to multiple ski resorts via a nearby bus stop. The five-storey building will include 76 rooms, all equipped with kitchens and balconies.

Planned facilities include a restaurant, café terrace, large public bath, and ski-locker room.

Key specifications include a site area of roughly 5,000 m² and total floor space of about 4,060 m².

The project will be designed by Jun Mitsui & Associates and constructed by Moriya Shokai.

Banyan Group, listed on the Singapore Exchange, oversees more than 100 hotels and resorts globally. Wealth Management, listed on the Tokyo Stock Exchange Standard Market, continues to expand its hotel development portfolio, with additional properties planned in Japan including Banyan Tree Hakone-Ashinoko.
