On December 9, JR West Real Estate Development announced the start of construction on the "Kyoto Higashiyama Sanjo NK Building" in Kyoto’s Higashiyama Ward.

The land, acquired in March 2024, will house a paid senior living facility. The building will feature a reinforced concrete structure with one basement level and four above-ground floors. It will cover a total floor area of 2,679.10 square meters on a site spanning 1,119.92 square meters.

Charm Care Corporation will operate the facility, which marks the fifth senior living establishment developed on JR West Real Estate's properties. The facility will include 60 private rooms and is slated to open in spring 2026.
To date, JR West Real Estate has developed 16 senior care facilities.
